Numb3rs On Location and Into My Television

Last night was the season finale of Numb3rs - the CBS television show that H and I both really like.

So we are watching the program and in the last ten minutes the agents are tracking someone in downtown Los Angeles. Next thing you know there is a car chase, shooting, all that fun Hollywood stuff. That’s when we realize it is the scene we saw them filming just two weeks ago!

I think we were both surprised how fast they went from filming in downtown L.A. to it being on our television. It was also kind of funny to look in the background and see all the places we walk by on a daily basis - Macy’s Plaza and other buildings and streets.

What blew us away the most however is we watched them film a particular scene for probably an hour, maybe a little more - and they were setting up and filming long before we got there. Well the action on the t.v. lasted no more than 5-7 seconds at most.

You’re special Hollywood, that’s why we tune in!

Saw the show & wondered if it was the one you guys watched being filmed! How cool is it that you got to watch it being filmed. Do you know where Bones is filmed, that is our favorite show. It is supposed to take place in LA, but as it is on FOX, it may be filmed in Canada! Take care.

It’s funny how many movies/tv shows I’ve seen or know about from here, and in many the city is barely recognizable- many will change street signs, building signage, and even the skyline via CGI. CSI:New York should just buy a block of Spring St. and use it as they are almost permantly there lately.

I haven’t had any bad experiences yet- everyone has been very polite. But the offduty cops do get attitude sometimes:
