First let me say both H and I love sharing our thoughts and stories with family, friends, and complete strangers. What started out as a chance to document our journey for a few select people has turned into an outlet for us just as much as it is a place to share our experiences.
Some of you might have noticed that we still post using WordPress and don’t own our domain name. The WordPress software gives us some interesting stats to look at, for example:
- Today’s update is the 236 post of this blog.
- Our busiest day was Monday, August, 25th when we had 387 page views.
- We have tallied 640 comments. (Thank you for contributing!)
The one stat group I find most interesting however is what search terms people use to find us. Let’s take a closer look:
- leroi moore – 323 people used the name of the late Dave Matthews Band saxaphonist to find there way here. If you remember we took in the DMB shows over at Staples Center the night LeRoi passed away and the following evening.
- rude dmv employees – 5 people used this term to find our blog. Oh yeah, it’s true by the way – DMV employees are rude.
- california jaywalking ticket price – 4 people either got a ticket or were afraid of getting one.
- jaywalking los angeles – 3 more; see above.
- california fashion - 3 individuals know I am always on the lookout for the latest in high end California fashion.
- parenting – 3. We don’t have kids and only call ourselves parents in relation to Carter. I have to imagine these three people that got here while looking for parenting advice were really disappointed.
- jaywalking tickets in los angeles – 2. It’s a conspiracy!
- “christina applegate” -nude -naked -porn – 2 people searched this term, is that possible? I know it’s in relation to seeing the former Married with Children actress at the Emmy awards recently, including her picture in a post.
- j walking ticket california – 2
- jaywalking tickets, los angeles – 2
- how much is a jaywalking ticket in calif – 2
- “eye candy expo” – 2. No comment.
- torrence condo floorplan 3rd floor – 2 more people stumbled here using this term. Ummmm I don’t know what to say. I think we went to Torrence once to shop at a Sam’s Club. We own and live in a condo. Floorplan is a pretty generic term, and we’ve never lived on a 3rd floor.

I was at Lake Ave in Pasadena yesterday. There was a bike cop just cruised up and down the street to ticket jay-walkers! From the one hr I was there, I saw 3 people got ticketed.
