Good morning from the snowy suburbs of Chicago!
We didn’t do a whole lot yesterday but rather we spent the majority of our time visiting friends and H’s family.
The two of us ran out to Oakbrook around lunch time and met a couple we have known for the last six or seven years. Somehow we had not seen them for almost two years so it was great to spend some time with them over lunch and catch up. H and I then ran out to her parent’s antique shop in the far suburbs and spent some time there before meeting up with them back at their home for dinner and some television.
We are just about ready to hit up a few stores here in the ‘burbs before some extended family of H’s come over later on in the day.
Tomorrow we will be back in the city to pick up a few things for the holidays but more so to wander around and get a better look of downtown.
There is something to be said for crisp fresh air and drivers that stay in their lanes on the highway.
