Things appear to be getting back to normal around here, at least I hope so.
H is still sick but this morning has been awake for 3 consecutive hours which is a record for the last few days. As a matter of fact she is doing some work from home while getting the remainder of the cold out of her system.
Carter has stopped pooping which is a good thing. Last night was the first evening where we didn’t take him out throughout the middle of the night. He came in from his morning walk and drank a big bowl of water before going to town on the food/rice/chicken mixture I put together. I’m no vet but I think he got hit with a pretty good cold, in addition to perhaps eating someone else’s food while we were away.
Trying to get our place put back together a little today. The floor is dirty and you can feel it when you walk so Roomba will get a workout at some point today. We’ve slowly began the process of putting gifts away and throwing out things we no longer need. Somewhere in the mix we will make a run over to the storage facility to take back some Christmas items we had out.
H needs to take back some makeup she received for Christmas – I ended up buying her something a family member already bought. There’s also a t-shirt I ordered online that needs to be packed up and returned in exchange for a different size. American Apparel has some crazy sizing …
We really haven’t been out and about in downtown LA the last few days but I need to visit a few places today and tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how many people are around this week and what the post-holiday vibe is here.
Just another Manic Monday …
Thinking of getting a Roomba. What do you think of yours? Pros and cons?
Not really any cons to tell you the truth.
It works great on carpet, floors and cement. The virtual walls are a nice feature – I usually set one up and let Roomba go to work on one side of the room and then clean everything else.
The one thing I would tell you to do is keep it clean. Get a can of compressed air and every other week take it apart and give it a good cleaning.
Finally, keep your eye on http://www.woot.com daily. Roomba is on there at least once a month or so and usually a lot less than retail. We bought one for our in-laws via Woot at 1/3 of the retail cost.
