Sit back and enjoy are post about random stuff happening with us the last couple days!
- Both Carter and H are feeling much better today. Carter is more himself, barking at everything and anything and his energy level is much higher. It’s a good thing he came around yesterday morning or else we would have made a trip to the vet. Remember kids, hamburger and rice is your dog’s solution for upset stomach. As for H, I’m not sure the hamburger and rice thing does the trick with her but she’s not as stuffy and is already sitting on the couch working away.
- I planned to spend a portion of yesterday cleaning the condo and it turned into a deep cleaning. The bathroom and closet inside the bathroom got a once over, taking a little more than four hours. Things were organized and thrown out. Today the plan is to tackle our small-ish closet that is home to our washer/dryer – it’s full of Rubbermaid totes and some of them can probably go off to storage. The two Christmas boxes we took out also can be returned. After that’s done it’s time to give our bedroom/living area a good cleaning.
- Last night on one of our walks we saw a guy wearing a glittery shirt that seemed rather stretchy and may have had sequins on it. Of course we didn’t have our camera and we really should know better by now.
- The NHL Network carries the World Junior Hockey Championships feed from TSN. How great is that?!?!
- A scale made its way into our house this holiday season and I know weigh myself every two hours it seems. I tend to weigh less in the morning than I do later in the day.
- A quick run to the post office is in order this morning to get some stamps for Canada. I made a comment about the cost of sending a note/card from Canada to the US (96 cents) while I was at home and one of my aunts made a good point: it’s a cheap service – where else can you drop something off and they will take it anywhere in the world you want it to, delivered right to the door. Good point Aunt J.
- When H and I move into our home (no idea when this is, I just know I would like to own a house one day) it will not have sliding glass shower doors. A swing out glass door maybe, but not sliding. Why you ask? Well it’s bad enough the glass is hard to keep clean (thanks in part to the hard water here in California) but it’s impossible to clean the two inch area where the glass doors overlap one another. 1.5 hours on shower doors yesterday and I still can’t get that area clean.
- I’m a great fan of live music and there is plenty of it on the Internet. What in the world did people do before the web? Read? Sheesh.
- The four Lou Malnati’s pizzas we got for Christmas? We’re down to one.
- Speaking of live music, I have a Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler thing going on these days.
- Remember the house we hope to own one day? No to dark granite – it’s tough to keep it clean, shows everything.
- Did you click on The Bangles video yesterday, Manic Monday? Susanna Hoffs is cute.
Time to go weigh myself again.
sounds like spring cleaning in winter, thats great.
start the new year squeaky clean like a rubber duckie.
im a neat freak.. must be my inner homo..(cause i am one..lol) i like everything in its place. it makes me feel comfortable and therefore i can relax. i was never a messy kid.
forgot too add… a dirty restroom says a lot about a restaurant but even more about a person- relative or friend
Haha pretty funny … I was never one to keep a clean room as a kid but the older I get the more my habits change.
Hi B, Happy New Year to you & H!!!!! All the best in the 2009, it was great to see you over the holidays!!!
Great to see everyone as well – hopefully we will have a longer visit next time.
