“Hey everyone, it’s me … Carter. I thought I’d open up my parents laptop today, skip through iPhoto and post some random pictures. If you’re wondering why I am sitting in such a funny position in the picture above, I have no explanation what so ever.”
“I was born on a farm but have spent the majority of my life in big cities as you know, namely Chicago and Los Angeles. The great thing about major metropolitan cities (you didn’t know dogs knew phrases like that did you?) is the great things you can see anytime, anywhere. How about the guy with the yellow bike in this picture, I’m pretty sure he has more hair/fur than I ever do at any one time. Also, look at the bikes in the picture. Here in LA everyone rides bicycles with big Pee Wee Herman like handle bars that sit way up high. Just saying.”
“Back in 2005 my parents (not my biological ones) got hooked up and attended a Cubs-Brewers game on one of the rooftops outside Wrigley field. Before the game everyone hangs out on the street during batting practice for balls to come sailing over the stadium walls and onto Waveland Avenue. Well, Wrigley Field sits smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Check out the girl near the fire hydrant who took a tumble while walking home from work and got caught up in the home run mayhem. Ha ha, I laugh every time I see this picture. I don’t think I ever peed on that one but I’m pretty sure I’ve sniffed someone that has.”
“This was my mom’s first car, she bought it before my dad moved to the United States. It was a 2003 VW Beetle. It had turbo, and while I don’t know what that is the car was quick, fast and had great pickup on the highway. The yellowness of the car was overpowering at times and it shouldn’t come as any surprise that the official color was ‘double yellow’. The stereo system kicked ass and my dad was always playing it loud, especially at night when we drove on the highway back into the city with the windows down.”
“This is what we roll in now, and it has a lot more room. Look how nice and shiny it is, before everyone here in LA began opening their doors into ours. At least that’s what my dad always says, anyway … Whoa, check out the grass! Oh man I love grass. It’s so green, so much easier to poop on and it smells great. Ugh, I miss grass.”
“A couple years ago my parents spent a weekend in New York City with some of their friends. This is their favorite sign in all of NYC and drivers here in LA could learn a little something from it. Well, the police also have to be around to enforce things so what’s the point. Anyways, it’s a great sign – Don’t Block The Box“
“This is me on the drive out to California. What do you think of my seatbelt? Not sure why it’s so orange but it doesn’t matter. I had the back, left seat all to myself and was surrounded with pillows and all kinds of other things. I look a little thin in this picture but I think it’s just my shaved down look playing tricks with your eye. I tried my best to sit in the front seat throughout the entire trip but it never worked. Did I ever tell you my parents tried to give me drugs to calm me down and knock me out? It worked once for an hour but I caught on quick and learned how to search hamburger buns and other food items for sneaky pills. Nice try humans!”
“Do you have any idea how hot it is here in LA? I mean I didn’t like the warm weather back in Chicago and always went out of my way to lay on the cold tile inside and walk in the shade outside. As a puppy we were on a long walk one day and it was too damn hot outside, so the next shady area we came too I just laid down and refused to get up. Anyway, I always enjoy a good drink while we’re out and don’t care how funny I look doing it”
“I thought I’d leave you guys with a baby picture. I’m something like 6 or 8 weeks old here and my new parents had just picked me up. Wow, I’m a cute kid eh? Anyhow, have a great rest of the day and I hope you enjoyed some of my favorite pictures. I have to go lick myself now.”
Great pictures B….I hope all is well with both you & H. Hope to see you in a couple weeks for the birthday!!! Say hi to H
