We just started watching Top Chef Masters and I must say we are both fans.
Neither of us were quite sure at first, but for different reasons.
H liked the idea of the show – some of the best chefs in the world (US really) and have them compete in the same competitions as the regular Top Chef contestants.
As for me, well let’s just say our Gail is not a regular judge on the show.
Luckily our friend Gail appears from time to time, introducing contestants or in last night’s episode serving as a judge for the quick fire challenge.
Speaking of judges during the quick fire, did anyone else catch Monica from The Nickel Diner? Apparently they have a lot of pull because not only was she on Top Chef last night but The Nickel will be featured during an upcoming episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
Anyhow, luckily we’ve caught up with all the episodes thus far and only because Bravo tends to show every episode five times a week it seems.
Speaking of Bravo, how about the fact that Lindsay Lohan is going to be a judge on the next season of Project Runway? Ugh, apparently having a keen fashion sense of leggings and Red Bull will land you a gig out here.
I must admit I like the new host, Kelly Choi better than Padma. Neither of them have any real culinary standing but every show needs a pretty woman to stand up front and introduce things and make lame jokes.
However we all know who the real star of the show is . . .
