Fall used to be my favorite season. Why do I say it used to be?
It doesn’t exist here in Los Angeles.
I like fall for the same reasons I like Spring. It’s cooler and there is sometimes a great breeze. Grayish skies with thunderstorms here and there.
Chicago and Canadian falls have the leaves turning color and falling off the trees.
Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer and beginning of fall – a signal that winter is around the corner but not before some nice weather tailor made for an evening walk outside.
So what’s fall like here in Los Angeles?

Ugh, everyone has said it takes 12-18 months to acclimate and ‘fall in love’ with Southern California. I’m working on a post about that topic but in the mean time neighbors … enjoy the fall weather here.
Yes the days have been beautiful. It was a cool summer and now the days are clear, sunny, and fresh, But have you forgotten what is coming in the next few months? Humans never satisfied….
B – we have just experienced more rain here, so guess what – the lawns are too wet to cut. May have to hire some goats!
Today it is humid, gray, rain coming and about 80 – heck I thought today was hot – nothing like you guys. But as noted you will feel differently long about January & February (for that matter November, December and most probably March!!).
