New Photos Up

I finally got around to posting a few photos from our trip from Chicago to Los Angeles.

Bid for Rent Submitted and New Photos

Well first things first, we added some photos to our Flickr page. There are about 22 photos in the set labeled Los Angeles and they consist of some ocean pics and our top three choices in terms of living.

After much collaboration this morning H and I submitted our offer to rent at the Market Lofts.  Here it is:

1. Monthly Rent: $2,300/month
2. Lease Term: 2 years
3. Concession: 1 month rent (pro-rated over the first year; second year at full rate)
4. Deposit: $2,300 (to be applied to last month of rent)

When you average out the monthly rate over two years it is a little over $2,100 which is still a pretty good price for the unit given the size, area and everything the building has to offer. We are also looking at another unit in the same building but it is a little smaller. A call is into The Mandel as well as Eleven South. In the end I am confident we will find something out of the three places and be more than happy with it.

Spent part of today planning our route and expenses to California at the end of the month. The directions we have don’t take us through many big cities, so you can imagine the hotel choices in Lexington, NE or Cedar City, UT. I think the three day trip should cost us no more than $1,000.

We need to find a way to write off a GPS as a relocation expense.
